Having already chartered a course for 5G broadcast in India, Brazil and Europe, video compression, delivery and streaming solutions firm Ateme has revealed it was a driving force of the first transmission of a 5G signal over a licensed broadcast facility in the US.
The Digital TV Group (DTG), in partnership with Ateme, Imaginary Pictures, Virgin Media O2 and University of Surrey have secured UK government funding to develop a solution to optimise mobile network performance in high demand density (HDD) environments.
Looking to show the benefits of the network’s high-uplink capacity for live event coverage and its potential for enhanced workflows, live production technology provider LiveU and broadcasting technology specialist Neutral Wireless are to demonstrate private 5G at the forthcoming IBC.
Assuring that the product will result in increased flexibility of 4K/UHD transmission, real-time video and networking solutions provider Dejero has announced that it is to introduce its latest EnGo mobile video transmitter at IBC 2023.
