More success for Synamedia has arrived in the form of Thailand’s largest pay-TV operator TrueVisions extending its seven-year usage of the independent video software provider’s VideoGuard technology.

As part of an expansion in Latin America, mobile commerce company Bango has expanded the use of its billing integration technology, enabling customers to sign-up for Amazon Prime Video with Telefónica’s Vivo in Brazil.

In a further move that puts behind its failure to merge with Tribune Media and to embark on expanding mobile broadcasting, Sinclair Broadcast Group has signed a multi-year lease agreement with LiveU that upgrades its fleet of portable transmission units.

Broadening its offering to broadcasters and content owners by adding subtitling automation to its origin solution, Edgeware is to acquire fellow Swedish firm Cavena Image Products.
