In a move that the non-scripted format provider says marks a holistic shift in its business approach, focused on creating complete content propositions, John de Mol’s Talpa production company is to now work under the new brand name of Talpa Studios.

The rebranding is also intended to distinguish the different activities of Talpa Network - John de Mol’s local media network company - from Talpa Studios. Although both companies are located in the Netherlands, they operate independently from each other.
de Mol’s firm claims to have pioneered the entertainment industry for over four decades with hit formats such as The Voice, Big Brother, Deal or No Deal and Fear Factor. The company stresses that the transition into Talpa Studios marks the company's strategic journey while preserving its heritage.
"This name change captures the full spectrum of all our activities under our roof. The expansion signifies the innovative strategy we've embarked upon since our exciting new journey began in 2022,” explained Talpa Studios CEO Maarten Meijs. “We are dedicated to creating next-level content that connects people both within their homes and across the world. And thanks to our international hub productions, we've made our expertise and knowledge easily accessible for local adaptions of successful formats like The Floor, The Quiz with Balls and Marble Mania".
The company is confident that Talpa Studios will further build on its legacy, producing global formats and establishing itself as a collaborative creative network. Alongside focusing on originals, the team is actively working to co-develop content like Million Dollar Island, Lingo and The Big Bang, with the industry’s premium players and creative minds in various stages and forms.
With a multidisciplinary Dutch-based production studio, open to international hub productions, Talpa Studios also has exclusive access rights to premium broadcast and streaming channels in the Netherlands and Germany.
