In what it calls a landmark output deal, global producer Fremantle has announced a multi-year agreement with RTL Deutschland for Jamie Oliver programming and lifestyle content, becoming the exclusive home of the chef’ entire portfolio of shows in Germany.

The deal looks to take advantage of the synergy and cross-promotion potential across all media owned and operated by RTL Deutschland and its parent company Bertelsmann including TV, streaming, digital and printed media and publishing of Jamie Oliver’s books.
Fremantle believes the deal will redefine the cookery-television landscape for German audiences, offering them more access to new and archived Jamie Oliver shows. RTL Deutschland has secured exclusive rights for pay-TV, free TV and streaming via AVOD and SVOD.
The German premieres of several Jamie Oliver cooking formats will air on pay-TV channel RTL Living, with the formats also set to premiere on free TV platform VOXup. Further specials and Jamie Oliver events are in discussion for the flagship channels of RTL Deutschland On RTL+, the shows will be available for streaming via AVOD and SVOD.
Jamie cooks the Mediterranean (Jamie Oliver: 5 Zutaten Mediterranean) will launch on RTL Living on 12 October. In this series, Jamie Oliver delves into Mediterranean cuisine, crafting dishes that can be recreated at home with just five ingredients. On 14 October, Jamie's One Pan Wonders (Geniale One Pot Gerichte) premieres on VOXup. The TV chef showcases the art of preparing diverse dishes using just a few ingredients in a single pot or pan.
Jamie Oliver’s collection of TV titles also includes Jamie’s Quick & Easy, Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals, Jamie’s Super Food and others.
“We’re incredibly excited to be starting a new chapter for Jamie Oliver programming and lifestyle content in Germany, working closely and expanding our relationship with RTL Deutschland, said Maximilian Bolenius, senior vice president distribution, German speaking Europe & Israel at Fremantle. “The deal will unlock a variety of synergy opportunities across the Jamie Oliver brand via the incredible media portfolio of RTL Deutschland and Bertelsmann. We’re proud to have a long-standing relationship with the Jamie Oliver team and thrilled that we can continue to feed the appetites of his fans across Germany.”
Zoë Collins, managing director Jamie Oliver Groupn added: "I am delighted RTL Deutschland will be the new and exclusive home for Jamie Oliver's very successful library of new and archived programming. RTL Deutschland will have exclusive rights to its free and pay TV channels. RTL Deutschland is part of the Bertelsmann Group, which owns our key publishing partner, Penguin Random House and our distribution partner Fremantle, ensuring we can support and enhance the Jamie Oliver brand more effectively in Germany."
