Charged with driving streaming and mobile strategy across regions, Olivier Jollet, has been appointed to head up a new ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI) business unit including the entire digital portfolio for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEAA).

The move will see the former MD Europe for Pluto TV responsible for AVOD, SVOD, mobile services and products as well as advanced advertising and VDSI as the company embarks on a phase of digital transformation. At Pluto TV he led strategy and business development for Europe. Prior to this, he worked at Watchever and Universal Music and co-founded Quazer, a digital TV-like service and served as managing director until acquisition by Pluto TV in October 2016. Jollet will now continue in his position as MD Europe Pluto TV, whilst expanding his remit to include all digital properties within the EMEAA portfolio.

The EMEAA division, led by Raffaele Annecchino, president, ViacomCBS Networks EMEAA (VCN EMEAA), has created a new dedicated unit to drive its digital business and capture new opportunities focused on the pay and free streaming sector, as well as mobile business, advanced advertising and ViacomCBS Digital Studios International.

Jollet will be responsible for developing and expanding the digital business across these markets reporting directly to Annecchino. “It’s an honour to be appointed to this strategic role at such a critical moment for the company’s digital expansion,” he said . “I thoroughly look forward to growing scale and reach in these business areas and furthering the company’s digital transformation.”
