Following similar moves in Russia, the UK and India since the end of January, G-Core Labs has expanding its presence in USA with the opening of a new point of hosting in Ashburn, Virginia.

G CoreLabs 25Feb2020The global cloud and edge solutions provider says that the new location is already demonstrating one of the best connections on the local market with an average response time, according to the Citrix independent analytical system, of 26 ms.

The infrastructure in Ashburn is also a part of the company's global content delivery network. It is said to allow any company developing its business online to provide a premium experience for American audience interaction for use cases such as online video, even those delivering even the highest-quality content to end users.

“The development of our hosting network in the homeland of the Internet opens up new opportunities for companies and teams who want to have their own dedicated server in North America with high-quality equipment and round-the-clock support,” commented G-Core Labs managing director Andre Reitenbach. “Our servers are located in a certified Tier III class data center, and we guarantee access speed of at least 10 Gbps.”

The first G-Core Labs public cloud region in was launched in November 2019 and the company’s global content delivery network extends to five continents and includes more than 60 points of presence, over 5000 peering partners, and in excess of 300 cache servers. Total network capacity is 10+ Tbit/sec. The network supports services such as managed hosting, CDN, advanced media platform for professional broadcasting and streaming.

The G-Core Labs virtual server is based on KVM virtualisation technology which is said to guarantee high and uninterrupted performance and is equipped with  SSD disks.

All G-Core Labs servers are protected from distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks using proprietary technology for intelligent filtering of network traffic. Dedicated servers are configured to provide constant free access to its intelligent platform management interface (IPMI) which is has been constructed to solve quickly any issue with hosting in a remote format even in case of a emergency situation.
