Independent distributor Dutch FilmWorks (DFW), has launched an international sales division.

DFW International invests in local film and TV productions from the Benelux region, acting as a co-producer or financier for titles such as The Resistance Banker and Undercover, the first Dutch language series exclusively available on Netflix worldwide.
The new operation is spearheaded by Angela Pruijssers, VP, International Sales and Distribution. Also forming part of the sales team is Charlotte Henskens, Director International Sales, who joined recently from Fortissimo Films.
“The launch of DFW International marks an integral part of our growth, and we are fully committed to all of these productions, creating strong partnerships with producers and creatives alike in order to showcase the high-quality programming coming out of the Benelux,” said Willem Pruijssers, CEO at DFW. “With the entertainment industry constantly changing and diversifying at such a fast pace, it’s important for Indies to continue evolving, and we are delighted to launch this new sales operation.”
As MIPCOM approaches, DFW International said that it will be unveiling a selection of titles such as crime dramas Women of the Night, a Dutch series set in the world of high-class escort and crime; Stanley, which is based on the life of one of the most infamous criminals in the Netherlands; The Art Dispute, a documentary series examining the topical issue surrounding stolen art and artefacts, questioning ownership and historical legacy; and a kid’s animation, The Daily Fable, which follows the hilarious adventures of a motley crew of feathered and furry animal inhabitants who live in Fableland.
“This is a very exciting period in our company’s expansion, and we are gearing up for MIPCOM next month,” added Angela Pruijssers. “As the exponential growth of multiple platforms for TV and film continues, our sales team are very excited to get to market and unveil our rich catalogue to our buyers.”
