Claiming to have now increased media supply chain efficiencies, artificial intelligence-powered metadata company GrayMeta has integrated time-based metadata into its Iris Media Platform.

GrayMeta Iris QC Pro 10Sep2019The Iris Media Platform is an enterprise media playback and QC solution with open APIs designed to enable broadcasters, studios and content owners to collaborate and deliver content through content life cycles, driving time and cost efficiencies for customers. It is said to deliver ‘true’ reference playback of complex IMF packages and other computationally heavy files in both SDR and HDR formats. The platform sees use with a number of broadcasters and studios around the world including Sky in its latest deployment.

The additional metadata allows users to increase the speed for content QC. The creation of metadata can be used across organisations throughout the content lifecycle to save time and provide cost efficiencies. Using artificial intelligence and machine learning, the Iris Media Platform builds intelligent insights for the customer using a range of services including speech-to-text, logo detection, scene detection and other important metadata attributes.

“At IBC, we are showcasing AI powered metadata within Iris to further enhance QC workflows,” said GrayMeta SVP and principle architect Chi Tsang. “This new integration of AI services within Iris brings powerful intelligent time-based search to the Iris Media Platform increasing efficiency for ...content owners, broadcasters and producers in their media workflows.”
