Redefining a price point for display technology as that for people whose next purchase was either that product or a Ferrari, Samsung has unveiled what it calls the pinnacle of its range in the form of The Wall Luxe and a more ‘mainstream’ products in the form of QLED 8K TVs.

To be sold exclusively in the UK at the famous Harrods store in London’s Knightsbridge, the Wall Luxe comprises a bespoke modular Micro LED screen and is claimed to represent a ‘breakthrough’ innovation in home entertainment, offering customers a completely bespoke experience that can be customised to fit any luxury home environment, ‘transforming residences’ and offering ‘unprecedented’ premium viewing.

The Wall Luxe features two distinct modes giving people the flexibility to use their bespoke display solution as an immersive way to enjoy entertainment or create what Samsung says is ‘a stunning visual canvas’ for their home. In entertainment mode, The Wall Luxe delivers total immersion across a range of media from watching TV shows and films to gaming with what the company says is the best picture in any light. When it’s not being used for entertainment, The Wall Luxe becomes a visual backdrop, allowing people to view art, picture or immersive scenes.

The display uses a new process to produce LEDs where the individual pixels are 0.8mm wide, meaning even more pixels can be used in every frame for what is said to be a richer, denser, higher-quality imagery. It also uses HDR10+ to enhance levels of brightness.
