BBC Earth is joining Cignal One News Channel in the Philippines as a branded block from 7 September, hosted by TV presenter and producer Daphne Paez.

Daphne Paez to host BBC Earth block on CIgnal TV 29 August 19The block will provide a taste of the natural history and factual programming available on the BBC Earth channel also carried by the Filipino pay-TV platform.

The block will air three times a week, premiering one hour of BBC Earth programming each Saturday evening from 8-9pm, with replays on Sunday afternoons (4-5pm) and Tuesday evenings (7-8pm).

The first show to be screened in the slot will be Mediterranean with Simon Reeve, which sees the journalist embark on a four-part adventure around the region, while World’s Busiest Cities provides viewers with an inside look at some of the most crowded and chaotic cities on earth.

Joanna Lumley’s Japan, sees the British actress travel from the icy Siberian seas of the north to the subtropical islands of the south.In addition, Without Limits – Vietnam, follows six people with different physical abilities as they embark on an ambitious and emotional adventure of a lifetime through the diverse landscapes of Vietnam

One News channel is on Cignal TV SD Channel 8 and HD Channel 250. BBC Earth is on Cignal TV channel 245.
