Plex describes itself as a global streaming media company that brings all  media types together in one customisable app. These sources include live TV, web shows, curated news from over 200 global media partners, podcasts, recorded TV and shows, and personal media collections.

Supported Plex platforms include: Macs, PCs, smartphones, tablets, Smart TVs, Roku, Chromecast, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, NVIDIA SHIELD, Xbox and PlayStation, Sonos and Alexa.

Commenting on adding Warner Brox content to the Plex platform, CEO Keith Valory said: "Plex has always been about solving new media challenges, and our mission is to tame the growing chaos in the media landscape,” said  of Plex. “Licencing these movies from Warner Bros enables us to offer more types of third-party content than any other platform and bring it all together in one beautiful solution. Premium ad-supported movies and shows deserve first-class treatment alongside other content that consumers enjoy daily, as opposed to being orphaned in yet another stand-alone app.”

Plex said that it is continuing to engage with additional partners to secure content agreements and expand its content catalogue.
