With DTC rivals busily readying their offer, Apple has finalised upon the launch price of its soon to be launched direct-to-consumer service according to leading financial news outlets in the UK and the US.

Even though it stressed that its sources had yet to be confirmed by Apple, the Bloomberg news agency said that the CE giant company was likely to be pricing Apple TV+ at $9.99, the same price as its News service and in the ballpark of rivals Netflix and Amazon Prime. Disney has just confirmed that it would launch its Disney+ serviceits Disney+ service on 12 November at $6.99 or 412.99 when bundles with ESPN+ and Hulu+.
The Apple TV+ streaming OTT service will feature exclusive original shows, films and documentaries. It will offer a slate of programming from Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Octavia Spencer, J.J. Abrams, Jason Momoa, M. Night Shyamalan, Jon M. Chu and a welter of other content. The latter includes a new series, The Morning Show, starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell which is said to have a reportedly higher price per episode than Game of Thrones.
The Financial Times has reported that Apple’s spend on such content has now shot past $6 billion. However, like the Bloomberg report, Apple has not confirmed the figure.
