Ultra HD entertainment is now being provided by ACT Fibernet to customers in Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, following the rollout of its ACT Stream TV 4K device.

ACT stream tv 4k 4 August 2019With the streaming box, the Indian broadband service provider offers movies, TV shows, sports, music videos, live TV and services from existing on-demand streaming providers such as Netflix, Hotstar, Sony Liv, Hooq, ZEE5, YouTube and Sun NxT. The device also allows users to access more than 3,000 apps on Google Play Store, plus over 100 live TV channels.

ACT is initially offering customers the ACT Stream TV 4K box for a refundable deposit of INR1500 on select plans, but has set the price more generally at INR 4499.

Users will also get complimentary one-month access to Zee’s over-the-top (OTT) platform ZEE5 and two months subscription for Hooq. Access to premium live TV channels will also be offered on a complimentary basis until 31 December 2019.

In Delhi, customers subscribing to ACT Platinum Promo and ACT Diamond variants are eligible for the 4K device. In Bengaluru, customers subscribing to ACT Storm, ACT Lightning, ACT Incredible and ACT Giga broadband plans can also have the device.

In Hyderabad, customers subscribing to A-Max 1050, A-Max 1299, A-Max 1999 and ACT Giga broadband plans are eligible. Lastly, in Chennai, residents subscribing to ACT Blast Promo, ACT Storm, ACT Lightning, ACT Thunder, ACT Incredible and ACT Giga subscription can use the device.

Plans are available monthly, six monthly or annually. Customers can subscribe to premium content from existing OTT streaming partners and channels and pay for their subscription directly as part of the ACT Fibernet bill.

Catch up TV is offered on the Android Pie-powered box, which also supports external devices such as a hard disk, USB, joysticks and camera to view family pictures, video chat with friends or play games.
