Leading content provider SPI/FilmBox has increased its footprint across Russia through an expanded channel distribution agreement with VimpelCom-operated Beeline TV to include six of its most popular channels.

Through this deal, SPI's most popular channels including five thematic channels, will become available to subscribers of Beeline TV in Russia. Among these channels is SPI's flagship channel FilmBox which offers a selection of American and European films. The other channels in the package include: FilmBox Arthouse, DocuBox, Fast & FunBox, FashionBox and FightBox.

“We are delighted to announce that SPI/FilmBox will now be able to deliver hundreds of hours of quality programming to the homes of Beeline TV subscribers in Russia,” said Murat Muratoğlu, head of distribution at SPI. “This important collaboration was made possible through our partnership with Orion and we are excited to provide top-quality content to more viewers across Russia.

“Today's users of video services are expecting a wide variety of high-quality content. We fulfil that expectation with our Beeline recommendation system, which is designed to make sure our viewers will have full access to all of SPI/FilmBox's channels,” added Alexey Zhuravlev, director of development at Beeline TV.
