Only days after revealing a similar relationship with Norigin Media, Swedish hotel OTT streaming firm Nenda has announced a technical partnership with Red Bee Media.

REd Bee Nenda 9July2019Under the terms of the deal, Nenda will use Red Bee Media’s Managed OTT and Distribution services in order to provide the hospitality industry with what it calls a unique streaming service, providing hotel guests with personalised and on-demand TV experience that far from the traditional linear, and what Nenda calls ‘impersonal’, content provided in hotels today.

By contrast, Nenda believes that it can offer a cost-efficient, content-rich and customisable streaming service uniquely integrated with booking systems and loyalty programmes. With the Red Bee Media technology in place, guests will, for example, be offered channels and content based on the country from which they are visiting as well as on individual preferences. Nenda plan to roll out similar services for other segments, including restaurants, bars and clubs, hospitals and elderly homes.

“Even in the most modern hotels the TV offering is often the same as in the 90s, where the guest has to flip through dissatisfying content in a foreign language, which leads to frustration rather than an entertaining experience,” said Nenda CEO and founder Anders Hässel. “We want to change this and we have ambitious goals, planning to disrupt and revolutionise the B2B segment for TV and streaming on a global scale and the hospitality industry is just the beginning.
