EPTV’S Algerian French language TV channel Canal Algérie has leased transponder space on Arabsat-5C to extend its reach across Africa, in collaboration with Globecast.

Canal Algerie logo 21 May 2019The deal extends Arabsat’s relationship with EPTV, Algeria’s public television operator, which already broadcasts its A3 channel from the BADR-6 satellite, and Globecast’s partnership with the regional satellite operator.

Globecast will provide the technical broadcast solutions needed to deliver Canal Algérie across Africa, via Arabsat-5C at 20 degrees East.

“We have a longstanding and very successful relationship with Arabsat.We are perfectly positioned to both launch new channels and expand the reach of existing channels, providing cost-effective end-to-end services to do so,” said Giorgio Giacomini, MD of Globecastin the Middle East.
