Nature sports video platform HorizonSports is to broadcast all the Action Asia trail running and adventure races, following a tie-up between the two companies.

Horizon Sports TV logo 10 May 19As well as running, the events covered include kayaking, rock-climbing, abseiling, mountain biking, swimming, canyoning and orienteering from 12 Asian countries, including Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos, Mongolia and Nepal.

HD cameras cover all the action, with Osmo cameras used for specific shots and drones capturing aerial footage.

As part of the deal, Action Asia Events will offer discounted subscriptions to the HorizonSports video-on-demand (VOD) service to all race participants in a co-promotion deal.

HorizonSports claims to have 500,000 unique viewers per month through a combination of subscription VOD platform, Android / Apple App, over-the-top (OTT) platforms, and through smart TVs. It is also available through Watch It, Samsung TV Plus, Vewd, Pluto TV, ROKU, Amazon Fire TV and Distro TV.
