With key titles from its drama, factual entertainment and format portfolios heading to a selection of broadcasters, leading independent distributor all3media international has signed a number of new deals in Spain.

all3media logo 9May2019In the first deal, Telefónica-owned pay-TV provider Movistar+ has secured Two Brothers Pictures’ Baptiste, the new thriller from Harry and Jack Williams starring Tchéky Karyo (The Missing), Tom Hollander (The Night Manager) and Jessica Raine (Informer). Baptiste debuted on the UK’s BBC One in February, achieving a 25% average primetime share across its six episodes. Three-part drama Mrs Wilson from Snowed-In Productions is also set to air in Spain following a deal with Filmin. Produced for BBC One and Masterpiece, its recently picked up three BAFTA nominations in the Mini Series, Leading Actress (Ruth Wilson) and Supporting Actress (Keeley Hawes) categories.

Atresmedia will see the seventh series of 13 episodes of Kitchen Nightmares broadcast in 2019. The series, which is led by cook Albert Chicote has proven a ratings success for the channel, consistently winning its slot. Originally produced by Optomen for the UK’s Channel 4, the 60-minute format sees a leading restaurateur providing emergency rescue to owners of struggling restaurants.

A duo of action/adventure themed factual entertainment series have been acquired in a new deal with BLAZE (A+E Networks + AMC International Southern Europe) for Iberia. Produced for Seven Network Australia, Fredbird Entertainment’s Extreme Salvage Squad (8 x 1-hour) enters the world of marine recovery and rescue in Australia’s Whitsunday region. From Maverick Television for the UK’s Channel 4, Escape (5 x 1-hour), featuring Ant Middleton, follows a group of highly skilled engineers as they are left stranded at a reconstructed crash site in a hostile environment and challenged to find a way out.

Canal Viajar (Fox Networks) has picked up all series of Travel Man: 48 Hours In...A North One Television production for Channel 4, Travel Man: 48 Hours In... follows acclaimed director, author and actor Richard Ayoade as he pairs up with renowned stars to embark on mini-breaks with a difference. This new deal in Spain comprises a total of 39 x 30-minute episodes, including trips with Eddie Izzard, Fay Ripley and Matt Lucas, amongst others.
