US cable operator RCN has selected TiVo’s Next-Gen Platform to support pay-TV services across its properties, including Grande Communications Networks and WaveDivision Holdings.

tivo 25 april 2019Under the agreement, RCN, the first US operator to deploy TiVo in the pay-TV space, will use TiVo’s IPTV suite of products, including TiVo Solutions for Android TV, TiVo for Streamers and TiVo for Mobile. This will enable the delivery of VOD, linear, restart, catch-up and network DVR content to RCN subscribers on managed set-top boxes (STBs) powered by Android TV, and unmanaged consumer-owned devices, such as Amazon Fire, Apple TV, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices.
