The UK premiere of the second season of HBO’s dark comedic drama Big Little Lies — exclusively available on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV — has been set for Monday, 10 June.
blglittlelies 15April2019The new series will again explore the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and the vicious ferocity of sound parenting. Relationships will fray, loyalties will erode...the potential for emotional and bodily injury shall loom. The existing Monterey Five – Madeline (Reese Witherspoon), Celeste (Nicole Kidman), Jane (Shailene Woodley), Renata (Laura Dern) and Bonnie (Zoë Kravitz) – will be joined by Celeste’s visiting mother-in-law, Mary Louise (Meryl Streep), and their husbands, Ed (Adam Scott), Nathan (James Tupper) and Gordon (Jeffrey Nordling), in this seven-episode season.

The series was created by David E. Kelley, based on the novel by Liane Moriarty. The new season has teleplays and story by Kelley and Moriarty and was directed by Andrea Arnold. Executive producers are Kidman, Witherspoon, Kelley, Arnold, Jean-Marc Vallée, Bruna Papandrea, Per Saari, Gregg Fienberg, Nathan Ross and Liane Moriarty.

Just as with the recent curtains up of the final season of Game Of Thrones, the UK return of the hit series will be simulcast with the US on at 2am on the day and then with a prime-time repeat on the same evening at 9pm.
