France’s CANAL+ Group has chosen TVbeat to streamline and harmonise its first-party TV viewership data across all its TV channels, to provide greater insights for content planning and scheduling.

canal 10 april 2019Working with CANAL+, which has 16 million subscribers worldwide, TVbeat will ingest, process and unify all TV linear and non-linear viewership data from set-top boxes and OTT sources at a census level and output towards TV reporting and measurement visualisation tools. CANAL+ will be able to understand TV audience behaviour and actions in channels and programmes across all devices, giving insights from audience behaviour, the companies said.

TVbeat offers insights on time-shifted and on-demand viewing, as well as for live programmes. It can be configured to provide analysis across any segment such as audience/demographic, programme, series, genre groups and subscriber attributes like subscriber package. Custom reporting can also be generated across any range of data relevant to the business need of each CANAL+ department.
