Media technology company MediaKind has extended its alliance with Inspur Digital Media to help television service providers in the Asia Pacific region to move towards cloud-based delivery.

SVEN BOLTHAUSEN MediaKind 10 April 2019Using Inspur Digital Media’s cloud-based virtualised servers and software running on Inspur Digital Media Openstack cloud, MediaKind promises a scalable end-to-end solution, enabling TV operators to deliver immersive multiscreen viewing to consumers in the Asia Pacific.

The agreement will enable current Mediaroom customers to extend their existing hardware and infrastructure investments by migrating to the next-generation, cloud-agnostic MediaFirst TV Platform, part of MediaKind’s Orion family. The platform enables the creation, management and delivery of pay TV, and when combined with MediaKind’s VSPP, it provides a converged multiscreen experience including pay TV in-home, TV Everywhere and over-the-top (OTT) video services.
