South Asian over-the-top (OTT) video service Eros Now is to feature on Apple’s new subscription based entertainment initiative Apple TV+.

Eros Now is the streaming service from India’s Eros International, which acquires, co-produces and distributes Indian films across all formats. The video-on-demand platform offers more than 12,000 movie titles, music videos, TV programming to 142 million registered users and 15.9 million paying subscribers around the world.

Eros Now’s tie-up with Apple will increase its reach even further, and follows a recent distribution deal with netgem.tv territories such as France, Ireland, Australia, Switzerland, and Gibraltar.

The new Apple TV+ app will provide users with exclusive original shows, movies and documentaries when it launches in autumn. The US tech giant promises programming from Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Octavia Spencer, J.J. Abrams, Jason Momoa, M. Night Shyamalan and Jon M. Chu.
