After five years as SVP acquisitions and co-productions North America for Cineflix Rights, Anthony Kimble has formally announced that he has established his own content development, financing and executive producing company known as Fugitive.

Anthony Kimble Fugitive 23March2019Fugitive will draw on Kimble’s experience in programme strategy, co-productions, sales and acquisitions, gained from working in businesses such as National Geographic and Channel 5, primarily works with producers, agents, broadcasters and other content platforms to get innovative programming off the ground. A key focus will be on finding and securing best-fit project partners and financing and additionally working closely with writers and producers at the content development stage across scripted, unscripted and formats.

The company will gain its official debut at Series Mania, where Kimble will be representing projects from his first international clients; Australia’s Essential Media Group (Jack Irish, Saving Mr. Banks) and Topic (Spotlight, Risk), the storytelling brand and entertainment studio from US-based First Look Media, working together with Jigsaw Productions. Content pieces include Uncanny Valley: The Truth About Thinking Machines and cinematic series from Topic and Jigsaw and Essential Media Group’s The Line.

Fugitive’s other key client at launch is GRB Studios, producers of the Emmy-Award winning reality series Intervention and high-profile series Untold Stories. Here, the focus is on unscripted content.

“I am thrilled to have Fugitive up and running and most delighted that my first projects are such strong titles - and involve incredible talent like Alex Gibney and Yolanda Ramke,” Kimble remarked. “It’s always a risk setting up a new business but I have hit the ground running thanks to the early faith invested in me by Chris Hilton at Essential Media, Lisa Leingang at Topic and Gary R Benz at GRB Studios...I look forward to growing my portfolio with equally impactful content.”
