Following what it claims was a successful seven week run its VIP edition in the country, global content creator, producer and distributor, Endemol Shine Group has signed a new series deal for its Big Brother format with Reshet in Israel.

endemol reshet 8March2019Big Brother first premiered in Israel in 2008 and has since run for a total of 12 seasons. The celebrity version of the reality juggernaut launched for the first time in 2009.

The finale of Big Brother VIP in Israel on Saturday 2 March saw talented break dancer Asaf Goren crowned the winner in a programme which drew ratings of 19.7% with a peak of 23.9%, topping the ratings chart for the evening and increasing by 110% from its lead. Over its seven-week run, the season averaged 17.4%. Following this success, Reshet has ordered a second civilian series of Big Brother.
