In its second carriage deal in the country in a matter of weeks, SPI/FILMBOX has signed a three-year agreement extension deal with UPC Hungary.

SPI docubox 14Feb2018The deal will see the broadcaster now offer Gametoon HD, FightBox HD and DocuBox HD and Eroxxx HD which have been included to the FilmBox Premium package. FilmBox On Demand, which offers a wide variety of genres including Hollywood blockbusters and independent movies, documentaries, extreme sports and fight videos, will also be available via UPC’s app MyPrime.

“We have an established and successful partnership with UPC Hungary. The best part of extending our partnership agreement with UPC is that Hungarian homes will now have a greater selection of FilmBox programmes to choose from,” commented Tamás Fülöp, CE regional director of operation at SPI/FilmBox for Central and Eastern Europe.

“We regularly review our TV offers and channel selections to ensure that our costumers fully benefit from and enjoy our best entertainment services. We are happy that together with SPI we were able to increase the number of FilmBox channels and provide various extreme sports, educational and gaming content to our customers,” added Takács Viktor, UPC Hungary content manager.

In November 2018, SPI/FilmBox Hungary and Antenna Hungária agreed to extend by two more years their long-term cooperation contract for on-demand and online services.
