From A+E Studios and executive produced by Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, Contact), the ten-episode drama series is based on the true, top-secret investigations into unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and related phenomena conducted by the United States Air Force in the 1950s and 60s and stars Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) and Michael Malarkey (The Vampire Diaries).

Throughout the season, true to life, documented occurrences will be explored such as the Flatwoods Monster incident that took place in West Virginia, the Gorman Dogfight of Fargo, North Dakota, the Lubbock Lights of Lubbock, Texas and the Chiles-Whitted UFO Incident of Montgomery, Alabama among many others.

New episodes of Project Blue Book air Tuesdays on History at 10PM ET/PT and the series grossed 3.1 million total viewers over two telecasts of the premiere episode and with 2.1 million total viewers, the premiere telecast alone became the network’s most-watched scripted series premiere since the March 2013 premiere of the hit series Vikings.
