Lloyd Schwartz, one of the producers of the original The Brady Bunch and son of the series creator Sherwood Schwartz, will participate in the production of the HGTV series A Very Brady Renovation.

bradys 8 jan 2019The show will tackle an update of the TV family’s iconic 60s-era house; during the process, Schwartz will offer insights and Brady stories about the set, house and cast.

“The Brady Bunch was such a big part of my life, since my father was the creator of the series and we produced it together,” he said. “It’s so surreal that I get to be part of this exciting new chapter of our show. In some form, we've been on the air since the 1960s. What a perfect way to celebrate our 50th anniversary!”

“We are so honoured to have Lloyd Schwartz participate in A Very Brady Renovation,” said Loren Ruch, SVP of programming, partnerships and special projects for HGTV. “His vast knowledge of the original series is an invaluable asset as we recreate the interior of the home to match the iconic exterior. HGTV recently launched Brady Renovation Central, where fans can find in-depth articles, video content, photo galleries, show updates and more.

The site also offers a first look at The Brady Bunch home renovation in a digital video series, Building Brady. New installments will be uploaded weekly—as well as to the A Very Brady Renovation Facebook Watch page—and will offer a glimpse of the full series, which premieres in 2019.
