Over 270 hours of live AFC Asian Cup UAE coverage is to air across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) on beIN, when the football tournament kicks off on 5 January.

The pay-TV operator will provide subscribers with two dedicated 24-hour channels, carrying live matches and 20 hours of exclusive programming, including documentaries on the 11 Arab teams participating in the expanded competition.

This year, the AFC Asian Cup will see 24 national teams compete for the trophy, up from 16 in previous editions.

All 51 matches will be broadcast live on beIN  with Arabic and English commentary. Presenters will include Mohamed Saadon Al Kuwari, Ayman Jadah, Lakhdar Berriche and Asia Abdallah while the pay-TV operator will make available 21 dedicated beIN studios for the tournament. In addition, beIN’s ‘Match Centre’ format aims to bring live statistical and historical data to subscribers in-game.

Live coverage each day will start at midday Mecca Time (GMT +3) and run until midnight. A daily morning show will air from 8-9 am, followed later in the day with an evening show Allo beIN.

The Arabic show beIN ASIA will air from 3 January, providing summaries of every match and exclusive interviews with players, coaches and fans.

Existing subscribers to beIN’s Elite package will receive AFC Asian Cup  coverage on Sports Max 1 and 2 at no extra charge. Subscribers of other packages can receive a 20% discount when adding the beIN Sports MAX channels before 31 December, or a 50% discount if upgrading to the Elite package.
