Spanish-language network HITN has seen record viewership for its Tu Planeta block in this quarter, featuring programming dedicated to raise environmental awareness.

Tuplaneta 29 nov 2018In all, Spanish-language viewership of HITN's Tu Planeta block — which includes programmes such as Africa Salvaje, Mundo Salvaje with Ron Magill, Vida Salvaje and Mundo Natural — fuelled the network's highest delivery in October compared to the previous six months, it said.

"Hispanic audiences, on our network and our app, are showing increased interest in Tu Planeta, which presents a wide range of productions that are educational, interesting and entertaining for the entire family," explained Erika Vogt Lowell, HITN director of programming and acquisitions. "The Tu Planeta block consistently delivers top numbers for the network, showing the interest among Hispanics for high-quality content focused on nature and the environment."

Guillermo Sierra, the network's head of programming and digital services, added: “HITN seeks to improve the quality of life of the Hispanic population by presenting content and information that can make a difference. As part of this effort, we place great importance on promoting conservation and respect for the natural world, especially among new generations."
