Netflix is to be offered by UAE mobile operators du and Virgin Mobile, following an agreement between the US streaming giant and their parent Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC).

netflix 28 aug 2018The distribution deal will see Netflix’s subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) content available across the operators’ TV and mobile services, beginning this month.

“We are dedicated to offering added value and convenience through up-to-date entertainment solutions, whether it is streaming movies and shows on our customers’ devices or paying bills through our app. Our collaboration with Netflix is another milestone in our digital vision and innovation roadmap.”
The deal will allow du and Virgin Mobile customers pay for a Netflix subscription through their monthly mobile bill.

The platform partnership with EITC is the second in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for Netflix, following a tie-up in February with region-wide pay-TV operator OSN.
