Kew Media Group subsidiary Our House Media (OHM) has taken a stake in the recently-formed and fellow Toronto-based production company 4East Media to develop and produce multi-genre, unscripted content for international audiences.

4East esteves 5Oct2018Helmed by industry veterans Sharone Ostrovsky, Peter Esteves (pictured) , Liz West and Sonya Roberts, 4East offers content crossing multiple genres including reality, lifestyle, documentary, docudrama and news. The company is behind hit shows such as Hellfire Heroes (Discovery Channel), Shaun Majumder, Every Word is Absolutely True (HBO) and Cash Cab (Discovery Channel).

Once housed in OHM’s Toronto office, 4East says it will grow its development and production slate with input and support from OHM’s executive team. Co-founded by Simon Lloyd and Joe Houlihan, OHM claims to have no less than a ‘stellar’ track record for creating high volume, returnable non-scripted programming for major networks around the globe. Most recently, they produced social-experiment series Welcome to Waverly for Bravo (US), Building Off The Grid for DIY (US) and Paranormal Survivor for T + E (Canada) and The Travel Channel (US).

Commenting on the investment, OHM CEO Lloyd said: “We are very excited to be working with the talented team at 4East. Incubating new talent and ideas is our passion and we look forward to collaborating with 4East to create a roster of hit shows.”

4East CEO Ostrovsky added: “We are thrilled to be working with OHM’s incredible team as well as being part of the KEW family. We feel industry mavens, such as KEW and OHM, will provide 4East Media with the kind of opportunity new companies can only dream of.”
