Video services provider Espial has announced a fully managed TV-as-a-service (TVaaS) solution for Android TV, including support for Android TV Operator Tier set-top boxes and Android TV retail devices.

Powered by the Elevate Cloud IPTV Platform, the Android TV solution offers a range of features, including the custom Android TV Leanback Launcher, which provides the range of video services including live TV, video on demand, time-shift TV and network DVR. It also supports voice navigation, personalised discovery, content posters, universal search across OTT apps and operator content; and mobile apps..

Operator-specific branding and promotional campaigns are supported along with data visualisation and analytics; the service can also be white labelled.

Support includes fully managed software lifecycle for Android TV upgrades and integration with device partners; and a 24/7/365 Network Operating Centre (NOC), currently managing millions of active devices.
