Becoming the first platform to offer an operator tier version of Android TV Oreo, the Star Hub Go streaming box will combine StarHub’s premium content catalogue and the Google Play store.Google Play store. It comes pre-loaded with a 50-channel Go Family subscription.

“With just a few clicks, customers can easily access all their favourite content from StarHub Go and other streaming apps on a single platform. Customers who binge-watch StarHub Go content on the go using their smartphones will also love the seamless experience of returning home and resuming from where they last stopped on the big screen,” said Justin Ang, head of product, StarHub.

For the channel revamp, the operator will now offer TVBJade as a 24-hour Cantonese content channel from 1 September, while Hub Drama First will become home to five express Asian series in HD at any one time.

Hub Drama First has been added at no additional cost to Star Hub’s Qiang Dang Yu Le Pack, which also offers Asian content on TVB Jade, Hub VV Drama, and tvN Movies.

“The enhancement of its line-up with the inclusion of Hub Drama First and the revamped TVB Jade is a result of our ongoing efforts to continue delivering a best in class viewing experience to our customers,” said Lee Soo Hui, head of content  business unit, StarHub.

“We have beefed up Hub Drama First, our in-house on-demand channel to offer a greater variety of express titles, to meet the needs of customers who crave for more up-to-date Asian blockbusters, which can be enjoyed at their convenience. Similarly, the revamp of TVB Jade is bound to be a hit with TVB fans as they can now enjoy a 24-hour channel dedicated to showing all things TVB in its original Cantonese dialogue with programmes concurrent with Hong Kong’s telecast.”
