Media business and entertainment industry streaming solutions provider G-Core has enhanced its flagship G-Stream media platform to enable the delivery of video of up to 4K quality to any device without the need for using servers for transcoding.

gcore 28Aug2018The new G-Stream media platform contains tools for broadcasting and delivering: transcoding, cross-platform player, cloud storage and CDN. Functionality can be managed through an API or in the control panel with content monetised by showing ads bypassing AdBlock.

At the heart of the new service are cloud clusters with transcoders located in the US, Europe, Russia and the CIS. After being transcoded on the fly, the streams are delivered via own CDN to any country and to any device.

And not only does the company say that the new solution will support ‘everything’ in 4K video streaming from transcoding, video-on-demand and restreaming in one service, it adds that all of this can be done without hiring broadcast experts.

“Technically G-Stream media platform is built on the best infrastructure in Russia and the CIS. In addition, we have one of the most modern and fastest growing content delivery networks in the world...We can ensure an uninterrupted delivery of 4K, 3D and 360° video to any devices worldwide,” explained G-Stream Michael Shurygin.

“But the key innovation of the service is a single control panel to manage streaming, CDN, cloud storage and to get detailed analytics on views statistics. We also support planned broadcast events, where the user uploads a video and creates a channel or a scheduled pseudo live broadcast in the control panel, significantly saving time and having no hardware costs. Now there is no need for third-party vendors. You can transmit the streams to G-Stream, connect a player for free, protect, deliver and monetise any audio and video content.”
