The spin-off of Malaysian box office success KL Gangster has been released for free streaming on video-on-demand (VOD) platform iflix.


Chronicling Kuala Lumpur’s dark criminal underbelly, the six-episode KL Gangster: Underworld, is produced by Malaysia’s Skop Productions and helmed by filmmaking duo, Syafiq Yusof (Abang Long Fadil 1 & 2) and Faisal Ishak (Juvana).
“KL Gangster: Underworld underscores iflix’s passion to elevate the overall television industry. It may surprise some to learn we work with movie producers to create television series, to deliver stories that that are executed in fresh, exciting, and differentiated ways, and still resonate deeply with our local audiences,” said Mark Francis, iflix global director of original programming.
“We are thrilled to make KLGU available to audiences in Southeast Asia as a tentpole of our newly launched free tier it comes with a cover charge,” he added.
