Expanding its presence not only in Latin American, but also the country in particular in which it enjoys its largest audience in the region, the RT channel has launched on Dish Mexico , claimed to the largest satellite operator in the country.

russia today 12 apr 2018Dish Mexico was formed by Mexican telco MVS Comunicaciones and US satellite services firm EchoStar, a leader in and technology in the US. RT en Español will begin broadcasts on Dish from 26 July as part of the News category on the Basic package of the DTH provider with national coverage. The RT Spanish signal is available in more than 1000 satellite and cable networks in Latin America, Spain and the USA with the highest growth being in the former territory, with Mexico the top market where RT's weekly audience has increased by more than 4.5 times annually.

“Mexico is one of the key countries for RT in Latin America. During the years of broadcast, the channel has won the recognition of Mexican viewers,” remarked Victoria Vorontsova, director of RT en Español. “We value its interest and we are glad that now, thanks to the launch of RT on the Dish platform, many more inhabitants of the country will have access to RT's news, programmes and documentary films.”
