In a move that it says will offer its customers ‘unrivalled’ choice and flexibility on how and where they watch content, BT has made significant upgrades to its TV app.

BTTV 10July2018The new features include the ability to download and access content on the go, as well as BT TV App Extra which offers additional benefits such as access to a range of TV platforms including Samsung smart TVs, Apple TV and Google Chromecast.

BT TV app customers can also now purchase programmes directly through their set top box or the BT Player and then use the app to access all their BT TV purchases, rentals and subscriptions into one place. Customers will also be able to download and play content purchased or rented from the BT TV Store — box sets, programmes from BT Sport and AMC, such as The Terror and Fear the Walking Dead — on any device through the BT TV app when out and about as well as at home.
