South Korea’s international English-language television network Arirang TV has revealed that it is to cover the first-ever meeting between the two leaders of North Korea and the US, the so-called meeting of the century between Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump.

Arirang TV currently airs in 105 countries via satellite and pay-TV platforms. The station says that it will offer various perspectives and prospects of the summit in its news and current-affairs programmes as well as present the on-going issues in the Korean peninsula which is drawing orldwide attention. Live news for the North Korea/US summit will be available at Arirang TV’s website, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter while special programmes produced by Arirang TV will be provided to broadcasters without charge.

In Foreign Correspondents, global journalists will be talking about the expectations and response of the North Korea–United States summit, while ambassadors of different countries to South Korea will have an in-depth discussion after the summit in The Diplomat and A Road to Peace will observe the possibility of denuclearisation and guaranteeing the North Korean regime.

Arirang TV will also broadcast featured documentaries such as hour-long Wind of Change which will present opinions and insights about the political dynamics of the Korean peninsula as well as suggesting a road map to peace in the region. The Negotiators will discover and analyse the diplomatic performance of leaders including South Korea’s president Moon Jae-in, as well as Kim Jong-un and Trump.
