Video and broadband networks and solutions provider WISI has secured a contract from leading Swedish cableco Com Hem for its compact Remote Phy Node LR45 product after an international tender.

WISI 6June2018The leading supplier of TV, telephone and high-speed internet access services to Swedish homes and businesses, will use the WISI product as part of its upgrade of the company’s hybrid fibre coax (HFC) network to Gigabit broadband speed with a Remote Phy solution. Currently about two-fifths of Swedish households, more than 1.9 million, are connected to Com Hem's network.

Com Hem aims to continue on its dynamic growth path and to achieve leadership in the high-speed Internet services market with the hopes of making digital Sweden a reality. In the tender, it desired fast availability, cost effectiveness, high product quality, high quality in logistics and excellent operational performance and compatibility with the virtualised end-to-end CableOS CCAP solution from Harmonic that Com Hem is implementing throughout its RF network.
