Omantel will provide its mobile customers access to localised regional and local premium TV shows, on demand films and Viu originals through the Viu app for 200 Bz (0.2 OMR) per day.

The video content is tailored for both local and expatriate customers and is available in several languages including Arabic, Hindi, English and Tagalog.

Viu content is high quality and suitable for this audience,” said Saleh Mahmood Al Maimani, senior manager product development, Omantel Consumer Business Unit.

The partnership comes as part of Viu’s expansion into the Middle East and North Africa, and follows the recent addition of tailored Ramadan programming on the platform.
