Expanding its horizons into the region, Brazilian content company has licensed to Middle Eastern and North African countries two of its featured series and limited series to be presented to the market during LA Screenings 2018.

globo doomd 16may2018Productions The Formula and Doomed have bene selected by MBC Group, claimed to be the largest and leading private multimedia and pay-TV company in the region.

The Formula is a romantic comedy about an unusual love triangle showcased by the Brazilian network in the last edition of Berlinale. Written by Mauro Wilson and Marcelo Saback, and directed by Flavia Lacerda and Patricia Pedrosa, it features a fast-paced, light-hearted and comical plot that proposes an entertaining reflection on the age-old quest for youth.

Doomed is described as a story of passion, jealousy and revenge filled with action and mystery, set amid the landscapes from the outback of the Brazilian northeast region. Starring CauĆ£ Reymond, it tells the story of the sommelier Leandro, a true lover of wine and women.

MBC group has also licensed Globo telenovela Rising Sun a light-hearted and love story said to be marked by elements that characterise the essence of the Brazilian people. A premiere date has still not been set.
