FC Diez Media, an IMG-Perform joint venture, has kicked off the tender for the 2019-2022 TV rights to the Conmebol Sudamericana and Conmebol Recopa football tournaments in Latin America.

fc diez 18 may 2018For the first time, the broadcasting rights to the competitions will be awarded through a bidding process across every Latin American Country. The tender, which will be open for bids until 11 June, includes rights to South America, Mexico, Central America, Brazil and the Caribbean.

The football rights have been split in two packages, one that gives rights to a first selection of games and exclusivity for the final of the Sudamericana, and one with the rest of the games and rights to the Recopa.

The tender follows the agreement between Conmebol and FC Diez Media through which the company is advising the Latin America competition and managing the commercialisation of TV rights and sponsors around the globe.

The IMG-Perform joint venture paid $1.4 billion in 2017 for the 2019-2022 broadcasting rights for all Conmebol competitions.
