Fox Television has renewed a pair of raunchy animation stalwarts, Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers, for the 2018-19 season.

family guy 15 may 2018Family Guy, from Seth MacFarland, will begin its 17th season this autumn (Fox also renewed his live-action sitcom, Orville).

Loren Bouchard’s Bob’s Burgers, which won the Emmy for Outstanding Animated Series last year, will be back for season nine, and it’s also slated for a full-length feature film to be released in theatres in 2020.

The main anchor for Fox’s ‘Animation Domination’ programming block on Sundays, The Simpsons, has also been renewed for a next season, to no one’s surprise. It will be the 30th season for the series, which holds the title of having the most episodes of a prime-time scripted series.

Fox meanwhile cancelled Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Last Man on Earth and The Mick, but Brooklyn Nine-Nine quickly found a home on NBC.
