The analyst said that as the industry heads into summer, automotive brands led by the aforementioned French car giant and Nissan have piled investment into broadcast channels, achieving over 7,000 minutes of air time combined in what 4C Insights said was a ‘staggering’ total of 8,727 minutes. However, Warburtons TV ad series starring Peter Kay in ‘Pride and Breadjudice’ took the biggest slice of the ad loaf, investing in 3,954 minutes of air time.

Other notable risers include breakdown cover provider, AA whose summer holiday themed ad, took the company into the monthly top ten.

In terms of social lift during the month, 4C Insights  found that Virgin Media kept the top spot with ads highlighting its Player Bundle, generating a 191% increase. EE's ads starring Kevin Bacon and Rio Ferdinand launched it to the number two spot for social lift. Argos and Amazon were still slugging it out in their sector with the latter driving a 99.6% increase, surpassing Argos’s 89.7% lift.
