PlayKids, a distributor of educational content for families, has inked a deal to give users of its app in Latin America immediate access to seven CBeebies series distributed by BBC Studios.

The deal means that Latin American users of the PlayKids app will now be able to enjoy popular children’s series such as Charlie and Lola, Sarah and Duck and Go Jetters in Spanish and Portuguese.
PlayKids says that it is committed to contribute to children’s education and development by offering curated content and helping families to use technology in the favour of kids’ education. “The new titles have been selected by our team of curators and will provide content aligned with the concepts of cognitive development, education and learning that we advocate across all platform products, remarked head of content management Fernando Collaço. “We are very excited about the collaboration, and we are sure that the families in Latin America that sign up for PlayKids will be enchanted by the new series.”
Added David Hanono, general manager of sales and digital at BBC Studios Latin America/U.S. Hispanic: “We are pleased to partner with PlayKids and offer audiences around Latin America access to educational content that gives pre-schoolers the opportunity to learn through interactive play, answering questions about the world around them in creative, energetic ways. This deal underscores our content’s desirability and reputation for quality and aligns perfectly with our goal of making British content available wherever and whenever the consumer wants it.”
