Under the agreement, Orange will also exclusively broadcast Snatch in Spain while shows like House of Cards or Better Call Saul will complete the signal’s linear line-up. The video-on-demand (VOD) series catalogue will also be extended.

“Through this new 4K channel, Orange strengthens its Ultra HD offering by delivering the best quality to its subscribers in addition to the latest features through its 4K set-top box,” the telco noted through a release. The Orange Series network, which has been added to the premium Cine y Series package with no extra cost, will also be available for the catch-up and start over features.

Through this move, Orange continues its plan to build its position in Spain around video. The telco is eying the Ultra HD strategy of its main competitor, Vodafone, which at present offers the largest 4KTV service in the country.
