Even though the 4K HDR feed of LaLiga’s world-famous game was first produced last season, DIRECTV will become the first pay-TV operator to distribute it across selected LATAM territories, namely Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Uruguay.

While LaLiga is already decided after FC Barcelona secured the title a week ago, the game will keep its historic rivalry.

Live from Camp Nou, DIRECTV will cover the match through DIRECTV Sports HD and its recently-launched network DIRECTV 4K UHD. In addition, the game will be available on the operator’s multiscreen, streaming platform.

In order to watch the game in Ultra HD, subscribers will have to use DIRECTV’s 4K set-top box, which is only available for purchasing in the selected markets.

According to the AT&T-owned player, an interactive multi-camera panel will also be tested during the game. DIRECTV intends the feature to be 100% ready for the coming FIFA World Cup.
