Nick Play has been installed over 417,000 times through Foxtel since its launch on the pay-TV platform in 2015, providing Nickelodeon-themed videos, short-form animations, games, and episodes of Nickelodeon shows via subscriber authentication. Nick Play will also be available to Fetch subscribers in mid-2018.

The new app is designed to offer episodes of Nick Jr. children’s shows, educational games and music, in an accessible way for pre-schoolers. Foxtel and Fetch subscribers will be able to use the app to unlock the full library content from the network’s programming including PAW Patrol, Nella The Princess Knight, Dora the Explorer, and Bubble Guppies.

“Given the success of Nick Play in Australia, I’m confident the tremendous appeal of Nick Jr.’s shows and characters will provide pre-schoolers new ways to be entertained, play and learn,” said Ben Cox, vice president and general manager of Nickelodeon Networks Australia & New Zealand.

“Nick Jr. Play will also provide Foxtel and Fetch subscribers access to a safe environment featuring characters their children already know and love at no additional cost.”
