Offering new tools including those designed to ensure quality and security at scale for over-the-top (OTT) content and advertising and the ability to understand and turn the data that it generates into valuable insights, Akamai Technologies has updated its core infrastructure.

AKAMAILOGO 26April2017With the additions, Akamai says that its cloud delivery platform is now architected to serve as a crucial foundation for digital business, with security and agile deployment capabilities supporting digital transformation, next-generation network architectures and DevOps workflows.

With its enhancements, Akamai believes it can offer quality at scale for OTT content and advertising, bringing the quality, performance and reliability of traditional broadcast television to the Internet, while protecting pay-TV and OTT service providers, broadcasters and consumers from a growing number of cyber threats.
